From the Heaven's Sky

   Chapter One: Meet the Guardians

I've always wondered what the humans on Earth think of the heavens. They believe in what they hear from others about what the heaven is like. They may say that it has a golden gate where you can see what's inside, but it is not how the gate is. Nobody can see what is going on in the heavens because the gates are similar to a door; it has kept people from wondering on how the heaven is like and what is in store for them. They sure can't wait to take the last and final step. The only thing people can do is take a peek on how heaven looks like before they can even think about entering is, someone who is guarding the gates, opens a small hole which ones in people's houses where they can see who is on the outside before letting that person inside their house. People who have died or have had near death experience knows that the heavens is guarded by a shining golden brick wall so hard, even the strongest of archangels cannot pass through. Inside, is a very different place, very unexpected and I'm really living in a paradise. It is like walking to a park with grass and flowers so rare, they can only be found here. Like when I saw this flower with a rare color near the waterfall where I spend some quality time alone. Sometimes, I feel like I'm lucky to be here.

"Dina" a voice called. I assume it was Verchiel but then again, it could be someone else.

"I'm coming." I run quickly. I saw everyone staring at me. I don't know if I have a seat left; it looks like it is already full. Gabriel stops and glares at me.

    "You're late."

    "I know, I am sorry."

"Sit down, Ms. Dina." he said. So I sat down at the very back.

"Dina, sit on the front." he said in a hard tone. I don't want to sit on the front, it's embarrassing and I don't want to be near Gabriel, he scares me sometimes. Not just me, he scares everyone. So I went to the front and squeeze my way to find the seat at the very last corner. Gabriel continue on with his speech.

"Guardians, I gather all of you today for we have a very important mission on Earth." said Gabriel.

"Everyone must go to whom they are assigned. If you fail to protect them, you will receive punishment."

    "Do I make myself clear?"

    "Yes!"

"Pack your things and be back before noon."

Everyone stands up and I feel like I'm lost in the crowd. I rush to my room as soon as I can and I see Charmeine, my roomate and my best friend. We head off to our room together and so I grab my spear and my shield as fast I as I can before we head off to Earth. Me and Charmeine takes off and she locks the key. "Alright, we're all good." she said.

We left our rooms and we run as fast as we can since we might be late. While we were running, I feel someone is poking me and I turn around. It was Verchiel and he pats me in the back. He walks with me and my friend to see that the people are still not in there. They must still be in their rooms.

We wait for the others to get ready. In the meantime, me, Charmeine and Verchiel were goofing off by the fields near the old and empty house that's made up of rock. It's an abandoned house and it belonged to one of of the Diwatas, angels who use more magic than us Guardians; were more on the physical side and we need to use weapons in order to fight. Guardians are the sergeants of heaven while God is the General. I couldn't remember who she was though. Anyway, we were just jumping around like little children. All of a sudden, I see Verchiel smirk and I turn around.

    "Are you crazy?" I said.

"Come on? What would happen?" he asked. He opens the door and he and Charmeine enters while I am the one guarding the door. The two of them are goofing off and I see that the other angels are already outside.

    "Let's go, guys."

"I wanna stay here." Verchiel said. I left them inside the house. I went with the other angels and see that most of them are are waiting for Gabriel. Where is he by the way? He told us to be here by afternoon but he's still not here. I went back to go check on my friends and they are gone. "Hello?" I asked.

I wonder where the two went off to. They couldn't have been somewhere else. Last time I checked, they didn't leave the house. I can hear the table move and turn around to see that it was on the other side. All of a sudden, the flames just came out of nowhere in the fireplace. Are there spirits inside? I thought they were in the other areas. They are not allowed to be in the angels' territory. Now, I couldn't see anything. I felt someone touching my eyes and I feel someone's breath on my ear. "Very funny, Verchiel. Now get off." I said.

I can be able to see again and I turn around and there's no one around me. Suddenly, I hear a girl giggling. I came closer to where the sound is coming from and I hear the floor creek. Why is it making noises in this house? Is the owner trying to gain revenge? If so, the owner would've kicked me out already. "Dina." a voice whispered.

    "What is it?" I asked.

    "Turn around."

"Is this another one of your games, Verchiel? Cut it out."

"You shall be vanished, for I used to live here." a voice whispered. I saw a bucket of water and I threw it away Verchiel and Charmeine began to appear covered in white blankets with ridiculous props from the house. I giggled at how those two looked funny when trying to prank me. "You two look stupid."

"You can't see us for we are invisible."

"Give it up, I can see you both." I laughed. Me and my friends began laughing and making all these weird goofy noises while Michael comes out of nowhere and opens the door loudly.

"You three! We need you for the mission, now!" he shouted. We walk out the door as fast as we can and Michael slams the door.

Chapter Two: The Mission

I was running very fast with Verchiel catching up with me while Charmeine was way behind us. I started panting like a dog and my legs are starting to get hurt. Verchiel pass through by me. The other Guardians were already lining up, that must mean we are late if it weren't for those two. Anyway, me, Charmeine and Verchiel joins in with the other Guardians already in line set for the mission. The rest of the third sphere party are already in line just waiting for Gabriel.

"Now that everyone of you are here, we'll prepare to take off!" Gabriel announced.

The Golden Gate slowly opened and I finally see what's outside of heaven; not that I hate it here, I just want to see outside for once in a while since I haven't been on a mission for quit some time. I feel free for once. So every single Guardians step out of the Gate and fly into different directions; it's like watching fireworks randomly come and go. I was next in line so I prepare myself, spread my wings as far as I can and fly. I look to see that Charmeine and Verchiel are heading in the same direction, they probably have the same mission.

"Goodbye Dina! Me and Verchiel are heading to the West."

"I'll see you two after the mission." I smiled. I have to keep this promise, after all, they were my best friends. I have this feeling that I might not be able to see the two of them ever again. I don't know why I suddenly feel this way, but there's something not right here. I might be worrying too much but I head to Raphael's house which is now rebuilt, the house seem to be firm now that it consisted of bricks and not woods, the rooftops were steady and that the outside look decent.

I look out the window to see that Raphael is sound asleep on his bedroom wearing a stripe pajamas.
I walk through the wall and I accidentally trip over, thank God he didn't hear me, he would've saw me by now. I'm yawning while I was watching Raphael in his room to see if he's alright. He's become a grown man now; no longer the little boy that I knew of.

I fell asleep as soon as possible on the living room couch since it's near his room anyway and I can still watch over him nonetheless. Maybe I should let myself go for a little bit and breathe for once. Plus, he can't see me sleeping anyway, I'm not allowed to show myself to him since it's against the rules. I was so tired that I close my eyes and fell into a deep sleep.

"Let's have a race." his brother said.

"Okay, let's head over to the cliff. I'm gonna win for sure." Raphael said.

"No, I would." he said while he started to run. The two continued running until Raphael went a little too far and for all I know he fell off the cliff with his brother frightening and I assumed his brother asked for help. I immediately swooped in (without them seeing me) in time with a palm leaf (to make them believe that he was caught by it) before he could fall on the bottom and die. Of course, I bought him safely to his parents as they arrived just in time.

"Mommy, daddy, I was caught by this palm leaf." he said. His parents looked at one another and his brother dragged the palm leaf while Raphael was sitting on it.

"I wanna try it! Hey Raphael, let's ride with this leaf."

    "Alright!"

"Hold it kids. It's almost night time, we need to go packing since we're heading home."

    "Aww..."

I sighed as I was relieved that the two didn't run off and ride the "magical" palm leaf. If they find out the palm isn't magical, him and his brother are screwed. I'm screwed because he'll think that the magic won't work anymore. Kids and their imagination these days.

I was so tired that nothing bothers me, not even a delicate little sound such as footsteps. I turn to the right side and spread my wings a little bit. I need my freedom sometimes.

"Wake up!" he said. I soon open my eyes but I feel like I just got hit since my vision is very blurry. I squint my eyes to see that a handsome man was standing in front of me. I got up with all of my strength I feel nauseous and this headache is killing me.

Chapter Three: My Favorite Sin

    "Huh?"

"Who are you and why are you in my house?"

    "Raphael?"

"How'd you know my name?" he asked.

"I can't tell you." I whispered. I open the window and I try to fly away as fast as I can to get away from him, I see him chasing after me so I went faster. I don't know how he did it but somehow he got a hold of my right leg before I can even reach higher. He grab me and try to drag me towards him but I become combative and I want him to let go of my leg for Christ's sake.

    "Unhand me."

"No, not until you tell me who you are. I'm going to call the police."

"I can't tell you. Now let me go, you're hurting me!"

"I won't let you go until you tell me."

"I'm your Guardian angel!" I shouted. I covered my mouth and I'm shocked that I just told him my secret. Now, I don't know what to do. I know it's against the rules but I just told him who I really am.

"Don't lie to me." he demanded.

    "I... I'm not."

    "Then why are you here?"

"I needed a place to stay in."

"You do realize that this house belongs to someone!" he shouted.

"I have to go." I whispered.

"No! Not until you tell me the truth and not this nonsense. And what's with the wings?"

"Those are real. Now you know."

    "Wait!" he yelled.

    "What?" I turned.
  Chapter Four: Exiled

My feet are numbling, I'm sweating rapidly and now, I can't breathe because I'm worried about what would happen if the others found out what just happened back there on Earth.

My broken halo and my wings soon fading away, I still have my weapons with me though but I am a mere mortal now. I'll never be able to see my friends again, no wonder it keeps on bothering me. I didn't expect it to happen this early.
