The Great Samaria

   Chapter One- New Province

Currently living in a new, unfamiliar town, Samaria and her grandmother Serena walked outside to buy some ingredients for dinner. Samaria helped her grandmother walk and is in her right side with a plastic bag she has on her left arm. While Samaria was walking with her grandmother on the streets, she noticed the condescending glares of the women surrounding her and the smirks of the young men as they pass by. She tried to rush because her stomach is growling like a hungry monster living inside her body, but she knew that her grandmother couldn't walk as fast as she can.

Samaria is often criticized because of her tanned skin whereas she lived in a place where a pale woman is considered the most attractive, by the time she and her grandmother reached the market, the vendors have been pointing at her but she shrugged aside the snide comments thinking about what to eat instead of what the others were saying about her appearance. She glared at the men who were whistling at her and saying sexual remarks while the women were whispering to each other. Samaria tried to confront them but her grandmother refrained her from doing so. I don't want to make a scene in front of grandmother, I know she wouldn't want me to get into a fight.

  "Hey how are you?"

"Nothing much, can we get some eggplants please?"

"I-I want s-some of those." grandma pointed.

"Alright, let's see if it fits our budget grandma."

She reached for her wallet as she took a peek on her wallet, opened it and realized that they don't have enough money to survive until next week. Samaria gave the eggplants back to the vendor, handed the coins to him while her grandmother picked the vegetables she's going to use for dinner and left.

"Grandma, we're almost broke, we need to save money until next week."

The two headed home as the heat was getting worse with Samaria's forehead was sweating. She put the bags facing the wall while she tied her wavy, long, black hair that reached below her elbows into a tight bun. Samaria's grandmother pulled out a small towel, wiped off Samaria's sweat dripping on her back and tucked it under her white tank top. Her grandmother reached for the bag with all of her strength, Samaria realized that if she let her grandmother do this by herself, it'll make her feel stronger so she watched her with her own two eyes to see that her grandmother is still somewhat strong.

The children in the middle of the street were playing with marbles but soon stepped away to the sides as they saw Samaria and her grandmother coming their way. Samaria picked up the marbles but the children helped her as well. She handed the marbles to the children who appeared to be fighting over them. Samaria just smiled to the children before going home. The two stopped at a mini-convenient store to buy some ice for her grandmother.

"Excuse me? Can we buy some ice?"

  "I'm coming!"

  "Here, take them."

"Thanks. Here you go." she said as she handed out the money to the vendor.

By the time Samaria and her grandmother got home, her grandmother started to faint by the front door with Samaria trying to catch her. She tried to walk alongside her grandmother forcing herself with all of her strength even though Samaria herself is tired from all of the walking. She was lucky to have one of the neighbors tried to help her. "Thank you for trying to help me sir. I don't know what happened. Must have been the heat that made her faint. What can I do now sir?" she shrugged.

"We must take her to a hospital immediately, she could be sick."

  "You!"
"What about me?" he said being confused.

"You were that guy who wanted to rape me and take my powers."

"Miss I don't know what you're talking about."

"Don't you dare call me miss."

Samaria closed the door while she attempted to punch the young man in stomach while he flinch. Samaria told him to come by closer to her by moving her index finger with the young man coming closer to him only to have him be hugged by Samaria and used her knee to hit him in the stomach. The man covered his stomach and fell on the floor. Samaria came towards him tightening her fists but took a look closer to the young man. She realized that the man didn't have a scar on his chin like the man who have kidnapped her. Samaria soon backed off of him.

"I'm so sorry. You just happened to look like the man who kidnapped me."

  "Ouch that hurts though."

"Need a little help? I can give you a lift."

"I'm alright. By the way I'm Leo, what's yours?"

  "I'm Samaria." she said.

"Now that we've all had this behind us, we need to take your grandmother to the hospital pronto."

"Yes Leo." she nodded. She opened the door to lift her up with the help of Leo. Samaria never left her grandmother's side while Leo asked one of his cousins to drive Samaria and her grandmother to the hospital. Leo's grandfather was sitting at the porch trying to help them but Leo tried to stop him.

"Grandpa, we'll take care of this. Just stay here."

"But I need to help them, they're in danger."

"Wait, how did you know we're in danger?" she interrupted.

"I know your grandmother young lady." he whispered.

Samaria was just standing there with her dropped to the ground and all the while, she was scratching her head. Leo and his cousins were almost ready to go to the hospital but Samaria stood there with her head up in space. Leo poked her in the shoulder but she still stood there, not being bothered by him. Does he know who my grandmother is? If so, she never told me about this old guy.

  "Sam!"

  "Huh?"

  "Let's hurry."

  "Ah."

They hopped onto the car with one of his cousins stepping on the gas to drive faster. Samaria couldn't hold her breath and was holding onto the car seat while her grandmother was groaning, Leo put a wet towelette on her forehead. Her grandmother was sitting between her and Leo all of the while, a loud noise caused their ears to explode. The screeching noise appears to be on the front of the car with Leo's cousin getting off of it. "Oh shit. The tire was flat."

"We need to get her to the hospital dude." he shouted.

  "Is there any other way?"

"Don't worry Samaria. We'll get her there."

His two cousins pushed the car but Leo couldn't help because he was protecting her grandmother, so his cousins asked to help them push the car so they can go faster. Samaria was biting her lips, breathing hardly and tapping her feet. Leo looked at her and was as tensed as she was. Both eager to get to the hospital, Leo got out of the car leaving Samaria alone with her grandmother. "What are you doing? We're almost to the hospital Leo."

"But we need a faster way to get there, we might not make it in time."

  "Don't say that bro."

"I know a good shortcut to get there." a driver said. "I could get you there fast."

  "You really think so?"

  "Yes."

"Samaria!" he knocked on the window.

  "What? We need to hurry."

"I know a way to get there. This guy will drive us to the hospital."

"Alright! What are we waiting for? Let's go."

Samaria, with the help of Leo and his cousins transferred her to the taxi immediately. Leo wanted to go with Samaria instead and his cousins went home. By the time they were in the taxi, Samaria smiled and breathe calmly. The cool breeze has Samaria humming to the song being played by the radio. As they get to the hospital, her grandmother was admitted to the ER with Samaria rubbing her hands with her handkerchief with Leo by her side comforting her.

Chapter Two- Current Condition

Samaria was waiting impatiently in the lobby while Leo was in the cafeteria getting her food to eat, the sky was getting cloudy, it was almost dark outside. Samaria took out her rosary praying to God by the time Leo came back from the hospital's cafeteria. Leo was carrying a bottle of soft drinks and an egg sandwich, seeing her whisper to herself made him chuckle with Samaria hitting him on his his.

  "Ow, that hurt."

"Here's your sandwich, you haven't ate since we got here. You must be hungry right now."

Samaria didn't say a word and grabbed the food right out of Leo's hand immediately. Leo looked at her funny while she munching off her sandwich. Leo smiled and thought to himself she must have been very hungry. She looks kind of cute while she's eating that sandwich.

"Excuse me miss, but are you Samaria?" doctor said. The doctor was wearing a lab coat that looks like what a scientist would wear with a name on the right side that said 'Doctor Newman.' Underneath the coat, he was wearing a blue polo shirt with black pants along with a pair of shiny, leather shoes.

"Yes, that would be me. How's my grandmother doc?"

"Oh your grandmother suffered from heatstroke and has a fever. She'll stay here in the hospital until her condition is stable. Until then, she would stay here for about 3 days."

"Oh and your grandmother will need to order medications for her fever. The pharmacy is on the corner to the left."

"How much do I have to pay doctor? I'm a little broke right now."

"Don't worry Samaria. I'll take care of the hospital bills. In the mean time, you need to go home and get some rest, I'll take care of your grandmother for you."

"No! I'll stay by her side no matter what."

"But you need to rest Samaria, look at yourself."

Samaria couldn't bear to leave her grandmother alone so she ran to find her room. Leo chased after her trying to stop her but Samaria ran as fast as she could to find her grandmother. "Where's her room?"

  "Room 315A."

"Samaria!' Leo gasped. Leo finally catch up to her and grabbed her by the arm and pulled her towards him. Samaria accidentally bumped into Leo's chest causing her face to turn red while feeling tired from all the running.

  "Leo."

"Her room is in 315A." he panted.

The two walked to the room together with the two being awkward turning away from each other. She found her grandmother lying on the bed in a sitting position with a strong, loud cough. Samaria came closer to her grandmother and pulled out a chair to sit alongside her. She took the water bottle and poured it on the glass with a bendy straw to have her grandmother drink it. She took a scant sip of water with the water dripping on her bottom lips. Samaria wiped of the water off of her grandmother while Leo patted her on the back.

  Chapter Three- Unknown Visitor

"Grandma, I'm so worried about you." Samaria cried.

"You need to worry about yourself my dear."

"Grandma, I'm not leaving you until you get better."

"Listen honey, they might be here looking for you." she coughed. Samaria started to cry with Leo coming towards to her side and patted her shoulder. Leo handed her her handkerchief and she wiped her tears.

"We need to go home, I promise we'll visit her tomorrow but right now, you need to sleep." he whispered and she nodded at him. The two stepped out of the room and soon left the hospital with Samaria turning back and refusing to leave but Leo held her arm and she turned around. Samaria nodded again and left.

Leo took her home safely with Samaria being alone at home, loneliness strike her and Leo couldn't turn away and leave home. She was looking down on the dirty floor, playing with her nails and sighed.

"I'll tell you what, let me invite you over to my house."

"Or I'll stay here with you so you won't get lonely."

"I'm just worried about her. I've been having this feeling that someone is trying to harm her. I don't know what I would do if my grandmother was gone missing."

"Relax. I know you're worried but you need to take care of yourself Samaria." he said.

"Oh well, I must be being paranoid. I guess I'll clean the house then." she whispered. Samaria grabbed the broom leaning on the wall and swept the floor full of dusts.

"Let me help you." he said. Samaria continued sweeping the floor that's now free of dusts and clutter while Leo was sorting out the dishes and placed them on the small cupboard. When she was cleaning the floor with wax, the floor was as shiny as diamonds buried on the floor all the while she was found lying on the floor with a small towel on her hand. Leo was shocked to have found her sound asleep and picked her up from the floor.

As she opened her eyes and woke up, she looked out the window and opened the dusty blinds with the sun's shining rays hit her brown eyes. She lift up the blanket and saw that the bed was in a blue-green color, the color of salt water making her feel like she slept on the water. The walls were painted in a plain, cloudy blue color almost the same color of the sky with the shining wooden floor. Samaria found a picture on the right side of the side table with the picture of her grandmother in her younger days. She was wearing a white gown with her skirt flowing while holding a small fan, along with a man wearing a white polo shirt with black pants and with shoes to match his pants. She thinks to herself She told me about this man before, but I've never even seen him much less talk to him.

Leo's grandfather opened the door to see that Samaria have finally woken up from a deep sleep and later yawned and stretched her arms up high enough to reach the ceiling. Samaria realized that she needed to go back to her grandmother. She got out of the bed quickly with the picture frame on her hands and pointing out her grandmother. "Why do you have this picture?"

"Oh that, it was a long time ago Samaria. It was when me and your grandmother were a couple."

"What happened then?" she asked raising her eyebrows.

"Alright, let me tell you." he sighed.

"Your grandmother and I were deeply in love with one another, we would always go out together, moving from one place to another. Your grandmother was in big danger so I did my best to protect her but then, she had to move out and leave the province because of these people going after her."

  "Who were these people?"

"The ones going after her powers."

  "Now I know." she gasped.

"Your grandmother moved here because she knew that she would be safe if she was with me."

  "Mister."

  "Call me grandpa Juan."

"Grandpa Juan, could you come with me to the hospital?"

"I would happily go with you and my grandson."

Samaria nodded at him and he grabbed his jacket to run down to the kitchen. Leo was cooking breakfast with a big grin on his face. Samaria was turned off but somehow, seeing him grin made her chuckle.

After eating a small amount of food, Samaria quickly got out of seat to the front door with Leo and his grandfather chasing after her. Leo quickly blocked the door to stop her. Now, Samaria tried to go through but Leo kept on blocking her. Finally, Samaria pushed Leo down to the ground with Leo hitting his head hard. It was like getting hit by a strong punch he thought.

"We don't have a car remember?"

  "That's right." she chuckled.

Leo remembered that the taxi driver gave him his phone number to call them in case of emergency. He bought the small piece of paper in the palm of his hands and picked up his broken down cellphone and dialed the number. Samaria helped grandpa Juan walk over the sidewalk where they would meet up with the taxi driver. Leo rushed to them by the time the taxi have arrived.

They went over to the same shortcut and was by the hospital at almost ten o' clock. Samaria ran to her grandmother's room but was slowed down by grandpa Juan. She knocked on the door in her room and much to her dismay, her grandmother was gone. Samaria frantically looked for her grandmother in the hallway. "Doctor, where is she?"

"She should be in her room by now, the nurse already gave her her medications."

"Doctor did somebody came here before us?"

"Oh yes, there was a man who claims to be Leo."

"What? How did that happen? Leo was with us the whole time."

"Yeah, I didn't go this morning."

"But the guy had the same hair as you. And that's strange, you had that scar on your chin and now, it's gone."

"Oh my God! We need to call the police right now." she panicked.

Samaria snatched Leo's phone from him to call the police. The police officers arrived as early as possible to the hospital. There were three of them in the hospital and Samaria turned to them.

"Officer, my grandmother have been missing."

"We can't report it as missing until forty-eight hours have occurred. Until then, we wouldn't consider her as missing."

"But this is serious officer. She could be hurt." she begged.

"There was a guy here who came by that appeared to have looked like me. The doctor said that he had a scar on his chin."

Samaria realized that the man who looked like Leo was the same man who wanted to take advantage of her. That incident have never left Samaria's mind with her heart still beating very fast, she began to have a meltdown. Grandpa Juan tried to comfort her along with Leo as well. They left the hospital only to receive a phone call from what appeared to have been the killer.

"I've been looking for you." it said. Samaria dropped the cellphone and was so stammered she couldn't move her legs. Samaria's was trembling from fear only to be reassured by the men who were trying to protect her. She sensed a dark aura around her in the hospital. He must be in here she thought. She tried to follow her instincts that's telling her that the man is just around the hallway. Samaria followed the path the man supposedly just went to, he was wearing a blue cap with an S logo inside a circle along with wearing a matching button shirt. Inside the shirt, he was wearing a white tank top all the while wearing ripped jeans and was wearing white shoes with stripes on each sides. I never saw his face but it could be him. I knew it, I just knew it.

  "Where are you going?"

"Just following the sound of the cellphone."

  "Are you crazy?"

"Hey wait!" he said. Samaria ignored Leo and didn't turn back, while he chased after her like a dog running after it's owner. Suddenly, the footsteps became louder and sounded more stronger like the man was stepping on something. The man was almost by the door but he disappeared right before her eyes. She followed the trail he was on but once she reached the door, she didn't see where the man went. Leo, along with grandpa Juan, caught up to her to see that they have found the other side of the street. Samaria quickly picked up on him as she stepped closer to the right corner of the emergency exit as he started the ignition on his red, old car and with a close glance at the window, she saw an old woman lying on side which looked like her grandmother. Samaria squinted her eyes and read that the license plate said 997ULI.

"Grandma!" she screamed. Leo stopped her by grabbing her shoulders, letting the man get away. Samaria flinched her shoulders and followed the car to where it was going until she panted, with her hands on her knees, her legs were trembling and her muscles were aching. She returned to grandpa Juan knowing that she won't be able to catch up to them until Samaria found the hat lying on the plants by the window. She picked it up searching for evidence on the hat and decided to keep it and headed home shortly afterwards.

Chapter Four- Search for the Hideout

Samaria stayed at grandpa Juan's house for the meantime until the kidnapper was caught. She was in the same room painted in sky blue, in which she will sleep in that room. She kept the hat by the side table staring at it very closely.

"Did you know you were sleeping in my room?" Leo laughed.

  "Where will you sleep?"

"Don't worry about me, I'll sleep in the couch." he smiled.

Samaria received another phone call from the same man using Leo's phone, with him and grandpa Juan were on the other side of the bed. The three listened closely to the man, in case they could find some clues. Samaria left out of the room dropping the phone on the floor. Leo picked up the phone while the man was still on the line. Leo has his ears on the phone and came closer to his grandfather so they could both hear him. Samaria quickly ran to the neighbors' house which has plenty of wonderful, green plants and ranged the doorbell.

"Excuse me miss. Have you seen a man with a scarred chin around here?"

"So far, I haven't seen anyone like that. I know everyone who lives here since I've been here for almost 20 years."

  "Thank you." she whispered.

"I'm sorry I wish I could help you out, but I really didn't see anyone with a scar on their chin."

Samaria left the lady's house that resembled the garden and walked over to the next one beside grandpa Juan's house. The next house has a small gate with a narrow pathway with small pots on the side. Samaria once again ran the doorbell as many times as she could but nobody was answering her, the lights were on but she left once more. She gasped as she felt that someone was walking behind her, she clenched her fists, turned around only to punch the man behind her.

"Ouch! That hurt." Samaria kicked the man below the knee, kicked him on the stomach with a finishing blow on his face. The man almost fell on the ground only to have managed to pick himself up once more. Samaria walked towards the man only to find out that she had just beaten up Leo.

"I-I'm so sorry, Leo." she gasped.

"Yeah, you better stop doing that. This is the second time you did this to me."

"Just be careful, don't walk behind me because I will get scared."

"You know, for a woman, you're a pretty good fighter." Samaria's face turned as red as a tomato with her face on a high temperature.

"You know me, I took a little fighting class and I used to compete but I had to quit."

"Leo! Samaria!" grandpa waved. He had the phone right on his hand and handed them to Samaria. The phone vibrated and the numbers '3662106698' appeared on the pixel screen. Samaria pressed the phone and answered the call.

"Where's my grandma, you prick?" she yelled.

"Calm yourself Samaria. Your grandmother is waiting for you."

"God damn it! What did you do to her?"

"Don't worry, she'll be safe here but I want to know where you are, sweetheart."

"Don't you sweetheart me, now tell me what you want just don't hurt her!"

"And by the way, how did you know my friend's number?"

"That's not important. If you want your grandmother to return safe, you're going to have to go to head over to a secret place down under."

  "What?"

  "What did he say?"

"He said we could find her in a 'secret place down under.'"

  "Down under." he wondered.

"See you my love." he whispered as the hanged up the phone. Samaria's blood boiled, with her glaring and grinding her teeth, looking like she was about to punch the wall. Her arms were shaking rapidly as she gasped so hard. Leo backed off as he knew that she was angry, he stopped grandpa Juan from comforting her and didn't touch her.

  "That asshole!"

  "What did he say?"

"He had my grandmother and that pervert wants to see me."

  "Why?"

"I don't know. He says he missed me. Which reminds me grandpa Juan, how did he get Leo's phone number?"

"I'm not so sure, maybe he overheard me and Leo talking. I probably knew who the young man was."

  "How?"

  "He was my friend's grandson."

"What are we waiting for? Let's go that jerk!"

"Way ahead of you." Leo interrupted. The two hopped onto the car with grandpa Juan following them, with Leo blocking him. Grandpa Juan tried to get pass his grandson but Leo was quickly stopping his grandfather.

"Grandpa, leave this to me and Samaria. This is far too dangerous for you."

"But I need to go with you. She needs me."

  "Samaria?"

  "No, Serena needs me."

"What are you waiting for? Let's go!" Samaria shouted. They opened the door on the back as grandpa hopped on with them as well.

  "Let me come with you."

"Alright grandpa, let's hurry." she said. Leo stepped on the gas, turned on the ignition and soon drove off as fast as a race car driver. Samaria sensed that the man was hiding her grandmother at the opposite direction Leo was going to. Samaria poked held Leo's arm and pointed to the other side of the road, Leo nodded and followed Samaria knowing that Samaria had a strong power. A man in front of them jumped and Leo stepped on the brakes very hard and Samaria bumped her head on her seat. Luckily, grandpa was wearing a seat belt so he was safe.

"This is for you." he said. The man handed Leo a white piece of paper with no margins on the side and gave them to Samaria. As she unfolded the note, the letters looked like it was cut off from a magazine. The letter says "Do you remember where we first made love? I knew you enjoyed it." Samaria almost crumpled the paper and threw it off the floor. That incident where the man was touching her 'sensually' and was whispering "I know you want it." to her ears couldn't leave her head. The man was playing with her hair while he reached for her private part down there. Samaria tried to run away but was knocked unconscious by a metal pipe. She later found herself trapped with the man in front of her unzipping his pants. He tried to take off her tank top with Samaria feeling helpless. He unhooked her bra followed by lifting her long skirt. He tried to take off her underwear and that's where Samaria scratched him on the face, leaving a scar on the man's chin. His face was bleeding and slapped her hardly. She crying from disgust she had felt and tried to erase that memory.

  "Who gave this to you?"

"I don't know the man's name, he just told me to give it to you."

"What did he look like?" she glanced.

"He was about five-seven, dark skinned, have a scar on his chin. I remember he was wearing a red polo shirt."

"That's him. Where did he go after he gave you the letter?"

"He went to a convenient store but I left afterwards. So, I don't know where he headed after he went inside the convenient store."

"Thanks." Samaria said drying her tears.

  "Are you alright?"

"Yeah. I think he took her to where he raped me."

"What does he want with you?"

"I used to think he was a great guy. That guy made me feel special and I thought he was very wonderful until he raped me. I found out that he's too good to be true."

Leo didn't respond to her as he felt like his stomach was hurting and was about to vomit. Grandpa Juan was shocked by what his friend's grandson could do to her. He remembered that the young man was always used to getting what he wants and that includes girls. The young man would shout and break everything he could find if he was rejected by a girl.

  "Did you reject him Samaria?"

"No. In fact, I liked him. I guess I consented him." she cried.

  "Stop!"

  "What?"

"He was around here somewhere I could sense it." she said. The three separated with Leo going to the left, grandpa heading to the middle and Samaria to the right. The place looked like an abandoned neighborhood with cracks on the ground, the buildings and no sign of human life. It was dark wherever they go. Samaria felt that the man was behind the abandoned store, the place she remembered.

  "Grandpa! Leo!" she called.

"Let's head this way." she pointed. The three entered the abandoned store while Samaria was touching for the ground; looking for the secret door leading to the underground. She felt a loud voice with a deep tone to it as she was touching the ground and found a small hole the size of a nail and peeked on it.

"Don't worry she'll be here in no time."

"Grandma, I'm coming to get you."

  "I found him."

  "Who's that?"

Samaria lifted the door and jumped under along with Leo and grandfather Juan. She found her grandmother tied up to a small chair blindfolded and a duct tape on her mouth. Grandpa Juan took the duck tape off carefully while Leo and Samaria untied her hands and feet. Once untied, Samaria and her grandmother embraced tightly with grandpa Leo smiling. "Where is he?"

Her grandmother pointed slowly with her flaccid arm and finger and saw his face on the mirror. She looked behind her and finally confronted him once more.

"You've finally come."

Chapter Five- The Battle

"So we meet again, Kendall Presley." she glared at him.

"Samaria, Samaria. You never change. Tsk! tsk! tsk!"

"So what do you want from us? Why kidnap my grandmother? Why did you have to hurt her?"

"Because I've missed you. I also miss our bonding, Samaria. You were one of the best lovers I had."

  "I'm not playing around Kendall!"

"I captured her to get close to you. You know how much I want you and you know how your grandmother didn't want us to be together."

  "Stop it!"

Kendall rubbed her shoulder and pressed his lips on her right ear along with holding her in his arms. Samaria grabbed his left arm and flipped him around causing him to tumble. The man's back was aching and took a hold of her foot and she tripped over the floor. Grandpa Joe picked her up while Kendall wouldn't let go of her foot. She pushed her leg as hard as she could but he crept closer to her and was soon on top of her. Kendall held her tightly and placed his finger on her tank top, taking the strap off. "Back off!"

Leo grabbed him by the shoulder away from Samaria and he punched Kendall right in the eye causing him to have a black eye. Kendall rubbed his eyes and retaliated. Samaria found a small ladder and helped grandpa Juan and grandma Serena to climb. Kendall looked at Samaria trying to flee while Leo punched him straight on the nose. Kendall chased after them but was held back because Leo was choking him. He has his hands on Leo's arm attempting to free himself but was held too tightly. Leo let go and the Kendall punched him under his right eye. Leo tried to punch his jaw but he blocked the attack and threw a harder punch on the side of his head with Leo knocked on the ground. He then took his gun out and pointed it on Leo's head.

  "Why are you doing this?"

"Why? You want to know why? Samaria was mine and she'll always be mine. I'll make her mine again as along as I eliminate those that will get in my way. You'll never take her away from me."

  "What? We're not even together."

"Shut the fuck up!" Kendall knocked Leo out with a metal entrenching tool on the head only to have Leo wake up handcuffed to a pipe. Kendall was nowhere to be found at the scene of fight, only to realize that he chased after Samaria.

Kendall pulled her arm while letting her grandmother be free.

"No, I won't leave my granddaughter alone with this punk."

"Grandma go. Grandpa Juan, please take care of her."

"Listen to me Serena, we have to run."

Grandma Serena stayed by Samaria's side and hugged her granddaughter. Samaria's hand were on her grandma's shoulder while grandpa Juan persuaded her into coming with him. Kendall took Serena away from Samaria.

  "Grandma!"

  "Samaria!"

"Where are you taking her?" she screamed. He didn't answer her as he pushed Serena to the wall and grabbed her by the neck. He took out a knife he had hidden on his shoes and put it closer to Serena's neck.

  "No!"

Meanwhile, Leo found a thin metal piece to unlock the cuff he had. He was playing with the lock and was free. He climbed on the ladder saw that grandma Serena was held hostage. Leo smiled as grandpa Juan was safe and was by Samaria's side. He and Samaria hugged with Kendall glaring at the two of them. Letting go of grandma Serena, he ran after Leo while Samaria blocked him, he slowed down and nervously backed away. Samaria walked towards him slowly to have him cornered.

"Why are you doing this? When will you stop, Kendall?" she whispered.

"I have to get rid of what's getting in between us."

"You need to stop this. Plus, we never were together in the first place."

"No! I won't let you go."

  "Does your grandfather know this?"

  "Shut up old man."

"Don't talk to my grandfather like that you asshole!" Leo interrupted.

"Quiet!" He took out his gun leaving Samaria stammering, Leo keeping his lip closed and grandpa Juan stuttered. Kendall hesitated to pull the trigger with everyone on the scene not saying a word.

"You! Old man, on the wall with this guy!"

"Samaria! Go to the wall with her."

Samaria nodded going with the flow while he placed the handcuff on her and her grandmother's wrist. He then handcuffed Leo and his grandfather the same way he handcuffed Serena and Samaria. He pointed the gun on Leo and Juan telling them to go to a secluded room. He didn't take Samaria and her grandmother to the bathroom but was forced to go to a small confinement.

"Now, you'll have nowhere to go."

"Let us go Kendall. You know I love you."

Kendall fell silent and was shocked at this news. He smiled and unlocked the handcuff and embraced her tightly with Leo glaring at them.

"I know you'd come back to me."

  "Grandma, go!"

  "Hey, wait!" he yelled.

"So, you were playing with my head?"

Kendall immediately caught Serena and punched her so hard that she fell while he pulled Samaria's arm and put back the handcuffs on her. He closed the door and locked them inside the small confinement. There was not enough room for the two of them and have to squeeze themselves in order to fit. Samaria looked upwards and found a small glass window. Samaria loosen her handcuffs with a clip she was wearing. She did the same to her Serena's handcuff and they were set free. Samaria climbed to the window using a rope.

"Be careful, I don't want you to get hurt."

"Don't worry grandma. I can take care of this."

Samaria reached the window and opened to gently. She pushed it away and pushed herself out of the small room. She held onto the wall all the while grandma panicked because there was someone busting the door. The door opened with Leo rubbing his arm and grandma was free.

  "Guys, let's just meet outside."

"Let's go grandma, we need to hurry before he gets back." Leo said. Samaria used her power and followed her instinct which made her smile on the inside, knowing she'll be reunited with them, especially her grandmother. Leo and Juan helped Serena walk with her arms on their shoulders. They were almost to the car while they heard a shot. Samaria found them and was shocked her grandmother was shot.

Grandpa Juan took her arm off and found a bullet on her back to the lower region of the spinal cord. Leo gasped with the blood on Serena's clothing. The three stared at Kendall who pulled the trigger at her using a .22 LR Caliber pistol. Leo drove closer so that they could take her to the hospital. Samaria burst into tears and was about to attack him. "How could you?" she cried while hitting him.

Kendall took her wrists and said "What does it matter? She's gone now. You and I could be together now."

  "I hate you!"

"We have to go Samaria." Leo said.

"You need to pay for this!" she screamed.

The two stepped on the car with Kendall staring at her beautiful face with Leo behind her. He couldn't stand seeing the two of them together. They were on the car and Leo drove faster than he did last time while Samaria rolled down the window and kept on looking back. "How about him? He needs to go to jail."

"We'll worry about that Samaria. Right now we need to take your grandmother into the hospital."

  "Right."

They took the shortcut the taxi driver had drove them to and was able to get there as fast as they could. Leo stopped his car and they hopped off to gain the attention of the medical staff.

"Emergency, we have an emergency with us." Samaria opened the door and put her grandmother's arm around her and pulled her waist with the help of Leo. The nurse placed her body on the hospital bed and rushed her to the ER. They followed the nurses but was held back because they couldn't go inside the room.
Chapter Six- The Last Farewell

Samaria was rubbing her hands together pacing back and forth with Leo and grandpa Juan were watching her.

"Will you sit down? I'm getting a headache from watching you pace back and forth." Leo complained.

"I hope she'll be alright. Please lord, help her get well."

Samaria sat between Leo and Juan still rubbing her sweaty hands together while breathing deeply. Juan placed his hand on her shoulder while Leo rubbed her arm. Soon, after a while, Samaria's house was on Leo's shoulder. He turned around and didn't seem to mind it at all. She has a light head he thought. He carefully took her head closer to his shoulder so she won't fall. Grandpa Juan was smiling at both of them causing Leo to blush a little. "It's not what you think."

"You two look sweet together." he chuckled.

Leo looked away crossing his arms while grandpa Juan was reading a newspaper with the cane beside him. The surgeon in a green scrub suit with latex gloves along with a mask on his face and was wearing an eye protection have opened the door from the operating room. Samaria approached the doctor while taking off his gloves. "Doctor how is she?"

"I'm sorry. I know this will be hard for you to accept but, she's dead."

  "What?"

"I'm afraid we couldn't get the bullet out of her back."

"This can't be, tell me you're lying doctor." she continued.

  "I'm afraid not."

"No! S-She can't die. I need her!" she cried. Leo heard the cry of the distraught Samaria and rushed towards her along with grandpa. People were staring at the young lady to the point Leo had to pull her away from the hallway. The people surrounding them backed off and stayed away because of Leo was glaring at them. They had to take her outside, away from the public to see her lost.

"Why did she had to die?"

"I'm sorry I didn't save her Samaria. I didn't save my beloved friend."

"It's not your fault grandpa. That bastard Kendall have to pay for it."

Grandpa embraced Samaria and his grandson tightly and shed a single tear and sobbed silently. Grandpa's face has sadness and despair hiding behind his light brown eyes and knelt right before Samaria while took out his aquamarine rosary. Anyone who walked by their path stared at Samaria standing up while grandpa appeared to have been worshipping her in the eyes of the bystanders. He lifted her purple long, frilly skirt and wiped her knee and placed his hands on each side of her knee. He tend pressed his lips on her knee. "He he. That tickles grandpa." she chuckled.

"Grandpa, it never was your fault. If anything, it's all my fault. If I hadn't had a crush on that guy, then not of this would've happened."

  "You what?" he yelled.

"Calm down Leo. That was a long time ago when we dated. It was back in the sixth grade where I had to move again to a different city because they were searching for me, my mom and my grandmother. Kendall was a spoiled yet, funny and friendly guy that always made me laugh. From then on, he became my boyfriend. He was my very first boyfriend."

  "Then what?"

"Let me finish." she coughed. "I didn't know who he really was until we actually dated. His girlfriend told me that he's a jerk but I didn't listen and I assumed that she was just jealous that he dumped her for me. Silly me. I should have listened to her. He would always touch me and kiss me. At first I thought it was romantic but after a while, it got to be a little too much."

"Then he took me somewhere I've never seen before. He grabbed my breast but I refused to let him touch me. He thinks I don't love him because I didn't want to have sex with him. From then on, he raped me. He made me feel dirty. He made me feel bad." she cried.

"I remember that kid." grandpa started. "He and his grandfather were very close friends and he used to be a very hyper kid who's always the center of attention."

"I think I remember him now, He was that one kid who I used to play basketball with when we were little. Oh sorry grandpa, you may continue."

"No, no it's alright. And yes, he used to play basketball with you Leo. Anyway, my friend soon died of a chronic disease and he was very upset about this. Shortly, after my friend died, I heard he lived with his grandmother and never heard from him again until now."

"Grandma never liked him because I always come home late and I always in his house. She assumed that we had sex but there lies the problem. He claims that I never loved him and if I so much look at another guy, he would get angry. I couldn't even talk to my guy friends anymore."

"I'm starved." Leo groaned. "Let's get something to eat. There's a restaurant two blocks from here."

"You two can eat, I'll just stay here."

"Don't you want to come with us eat?"

"No thanks. Just bring me something alright?"

"Okay what do you want? We're going to McDonald's."

"Just get me Sprite and a Cheeseburger with fries." Samaria's stomach was growling like a monster and she placed her hands on them to sense her stomach was tingling. Leo was carrying a white plastic plastic bag with a hamburger on one hand and a cup of soft drinks on his other hand to hand it over to Samaria. She finished eating her breakfast and lunch at the same time and left the hospital shortly afterwards. How can we pay for grandma Serena's funeral? I don't even have a job yet. she thought.

By the time they have reached home, Samaria rushed out of the car and was going to her house only to find out that the house wasn't as clean as she left it. The curtains were out of place, dishes was scattered all over the floor along with the bed blanket that looked like it was covering a pile the size of a mountain. Samaria lifted the blanket from the bottom and uncovered the blanket only to find out that it was a pile of boxes of tissues. Inside the tissue boxes, Samaria found a cash. Samaria turned around to slowly and carefully opened the cupboard only to find nothing. Inside, there was a sticky note at the very back of the cupboard that says 'Here are some tissues, you'll need them.' She backed off only to trip over on the floor. Samaria recalled that she had locked the door so she didn't know how anyone could have gotten inside. She checked the window carefully to see that it was locked as usual. She opened the bathroom door to find that the bottle of shampoo and conditioner was spilled on the dirty tilled floor. She found fragments of the window shards, she found the small glass window was cracked.

Samaria looked at the mirror hanging on the wall with written words that says 'You're not safe here' in what appeared to have been written in red marker. Leo and grandpa, holding the cane with his right arm, entered her home with Samaria handing them the sticky post the person have given to her. Leo gave the post to grandpa who had to move the post away from him. He took out his reading glasses to read what was on the post. Samaria showed Leo one of the tissue box and took out a one-thousand peso bill which looks way too new. They shook the tissue boxes which also contained one-thousand peso bills. Leo helped grandpa Juan to sit on the bed with Samaria giving him another tissue box at the very bottom of the pile. Grandpa Juan counted how many bills one tissue box contains."Come here guys." she persuaded.

They followed her to the bathroom and she showed them what the person had written on the mirror.

"You heard what it says, you're not safe here."

"I bet they know where I am right now."

"Do you think this is from Kendall?"

"No. I know that boy's handwriting. His handwriting is not as nice as whoever wrote this."

  "You can stay with us."

"Yes, you would be safer with us." grandpa interrupted.

"What are we gonna do with this money?"

"You know what, I don't know. I don't want to use the money but I have no choice."

"Let's take it, just in case."

"Samaria is right, my son. You don't know who this came from."

"Alright, I'll just pack up some clothes. Besides, I don't even have a lot of clothes." she said. Samaria opened her closet with long, frilly skirts, a blouse, with a few boleros and the rest were just her tank tops. She found her grandmother's old white, gown that was on the picture she almost cried. "She should wear this." she whispered.

Grandpa Juan nodded at her and she gave him the old gown. Samaria cleaned up the house and carried her bag of clothes and left it for good without even turning back. By the time they arrived to visit grandma Serena, she was lying on the table with make-up while her body was covered in a white blanket. Samaria gave them the gown in order for her to wear one last time. "Please let her wear this."

"Alright." the woman nodded. Grandma was lying peacefully on the table that Samaria hesitated to leave. She and grandpa came closer one more time but was held back by Leo and the woman who worked there. They left the place shortly afterwards. Samaria yawned loudly at the car while Leo laughed to himself. She must have been really tired. he chuckled. She needs to go to sleep, besides, the funeral doesn't start until six o' clock in the afternoon. He turned around to find Samaria sound asleep and seemed to have been relaxed. Leo turned on the air conditioner along with the lemon scented car air freshener. She smiled in her sleep that made Leo smile as well. Leo kept his eyes on the road until they reached his house. He helped grandpa first before he carried her to his room on the second floor.

It's almost time for the funeral but Samaria was still lying in her bed while she slowly opened her eyes. She found Leo and grandpa Juan dressed up in a white barong with black tuxedo pants along with shining black shoes. Samaria smiled for a second until she saw the alarm clock. "You didn't wake me up?" she whined.

"You were so sleepy that we didn't want to bother you."

"But it's almost time for the funeral." she yelled. "I haven't even ate lunch or took a shower."

"Don't worry, we still have enough time to make it there."

"Alright, I'll go take a shower now."

"We'll just buy you some food." he interrupted.

Samaria stepped inside the clean, tilled bathroom wearing a pair of slippers. She took off her clothes as she stepped into the shower and immediately started scrubbing. As she stepped out of the shower with her body wrapped around in white towel and a another towel in her hair, she saw Leo still on his room and awkwardly headed out. Samaria dried her hair with a blow dryer and put on her white blouse and her white skirt with a silver high heels her mother gave her. Leo and grandpa waited outside for her and by the time she opened the door, Leo was mesmerized with who was standing in front of him. She looks very pretty. he thought. Leo's face was hot and he quickly blushed by the sight of Samaria looking like a beautiful angel. His body was sweating and grandpa gave him small towel. He wiped his forehead and his neck as was sighing.

  "Are you okay?" she asked.

"W-What did you say." he stuttered.

"Nothing, let's get her something to eat grandpa."

  "Ouch."

"I'll go drive." Samaria said. Samaria opened the door with the steering wheel in front of her along with grandpa Juan sitting next to her. Leo sat behind grandpa while staring at Samaria who has yet to remember what her grandmother and her mother thought her about driving. She probably forgot. he thought.

"Hey are you confused there?" he laughed.

"No I got it. I'm just double-checking everything."

"Well we need to hurry up. We also need to get you some food."

"Don't worry about me, I'll just eat there."

Samaria stepped at the gas pedal and was driving very fast to the point that grandpa Juan was spacing out. Samaria had to slow down a bit to calm him down. Leo stared at her long, shining, beautiful hair that she didn't tie up because it was still somewhat wet. He couldn't stop staring at the breathtakingly beautiful young lady until she noticed him. He quickly turned away by pretending to be looking outside and rolled down his window. By the time they got to the hotel, Samaria's aunt who was her father's older sister had showed up. Her kids and friends were also there. They got out of the car to find which room her grandma was on. They found her grandmother's huge photo hanged on the wall and a book beside the door. Samaria signed her name and gave the pen to grandpa. Samaria found an ice cooler with a can of soft drinks and a pack of orange juice. She began to eat by the time the visitors have arrived. She was sitting at the very front of her grandmother along with grandpa and Leo. The flower stand have just arrived with Leo helping the men place it on the left corner.

The hotel room was packed that there weren't even enough seats for everyone that they must stand at the back of the room. Samaria's relatives showed up along with her cousins with whom she was close with, her grandmother's friend's granddaughters were also present. Her old neighbors were at the church as well. The priest still haven't arrived and Samaria looked at the clock and it was almost seven o' clock. The visitors were chatting with one another with Samaria greeting and was talking to every single one of them. Grandpa Juan have been chatting with grandma's old friends while their grandchildren were with Samaria and Leo.

  "He's hot." she said.

  "Who Leo?" she laughed.

  "Yeah, is he your boyfriend?"

"What?" she blushed. "No we're just friends."

She laughed inside when Leo was eating the crackers in one bite and smiled a little. Her cousins noticed that her face was more pink than when she was wearing make-up. She caught a glimpse of his shining, hazel eyes stare where she was lost in his soul. He stared at her brown eyes which served as a pathway to her heart and soul. Samaria ignored one of her friend that poked her for she was swept away by the wave of reality. "Samaria!"

  "What?" she startled.

  "Are you alright?"

  "Yes."

   "Young man!"

  "I'm sorry what?"

  "Are you alright?"

  "Yes sir."

Everyone refrained from talking by the time the man in white robe topped with a purple sash holding the bible and the rosary, who appeared to be the priest have showed up. Two young men who were about Leo's age walked to the red carpet all the way to the altar carrying a wooden cross. Loud noises were turned into complete silence when everyone was on their seat praying amongst themselves. "In the name of the father, and of the son, and of the holy spirit. Amen."

"Please stand." Everyone stood up from their seat with one of her Samaria's aunt was sobbing loudly that everyone on the church have heard her. Samaria was crying silently in front of the priest with Leo comforting her. The priest was standing in front of grandma Serena as he silently prays his prayers with an opened bible. The people were singing in honor of grandma Serena. Once the mass was over, the opportunity to say goodbye to grandma Serena have finally occurred. Samaria volunteered to stand up in front of everyone who she haven't seen in a long time.

"It was a shame that she was gone." she cried. "I remember that we had to move often because there were this group of criminals or whatever that were after her powers. S-She did everything she could to raise me right and she told me to use my powers for good and not to take advantage of them. We fought and argued but we always get along." she wiped her tears and backed off of the microphone.

"Goodbye grandma, I'll miss you. I hope he pays for what he did." Samaria walked off with everyone else around her were crying. She returned to her seat while grandpa stood up with all of his might to walk in front of everybody.

"I-I remembered the time when me and Serena were together. She was one of the most beautiful woman I had ever met. The minute I laid my eyes on her, I knew she would be mine. She told me about her powers. I tried to protect her but she has no other choice to but move once more." he cried.

"We saw each other one last time and I had told her that she should move in my neighborhood where I could protect her. But sadly, I failed. I promised her that I would take care of her granddaughter, Samaria, who's very kind, loving and beautiful."

Leo assisted grandpa back to his seat and came back to deliver his speech to grandma.

"I've only known her for a while but grandpa Juan here used to tell me stories about her." he sobbed. "When I finally met her, she was exactly who my grandpa described her as: a kindhearted and loyal woman. I--All I can do for her today is to help her granddaughter and I'll always be there for her."

Leo sat down next to Samaria wiping his tears with a tissue paper. The rest of Samaria's old friends, neighbors and relatives have spoken in front to say goodbye one last time before her burial which is on Friday, four days from now. The death of grandma Serena have served as a family reunion for Samaria. After the funeral, there was an after party and Samaria stayed for a while and left at around ten o' clock at night.

Four days and four nights have passed and the time has finally come. They went to the hotel for the final day and grandma was scheduled to be buried at that day. The men have carried grandma's casket to the car with every single one leaving the hotel. They arrived in the graveyard very early. Grandma Serena was to be buried by her mother, her father and her grandfather's side. The priest have given his speech one last time, prayers and blessings have been heard and then the casket have been closed. They slowly buried grandma Serena until she had reached the bottom with Samaria and the rest dropping were dropping her favorite flowers, red roses and white jasmine flowers. Samaria and her family watched the workers bury her in dirt and they have cried hysterically. "Goodbye grandma. I hope you'll find peace."

Chapter Seven- Hide and Seek

Samaria and grandpa Juan couldn't leave grandma Serena behind but soon had to leave for the last day she would be with her family. They reached the fancy restaurant that looked like a fancy restaurant Samaria had never been to before. Inside the restaurant, the walls were painted in bright red, the curtains were silky and the carpet was thoroughly cleaned.

"Samaria, if you need anything, you can always count on us. You can visit us anytime you want."

"Thanks, cousin. I need to get your phone number. Which reminds me, I need a new cellphone. My old phone was broken."

"You can save her number here, Samaria."

  "Yes!" her cousin squealed.

  "Alright, alright."

Samaria sat next to her friend and her cousin while Leo tried to sit next to her with his arm being dragged by his grandfather and one of her friend sat closer to him. Leo smiled that he sat across Samaria and was able to stare at her. He ignored the girl sitting next to him and grandpa chuckled at him. Leo stared at her from across the large, round table while she was talking to some of her friends without noticing him. The waiter was playing with her hair and crept closer to her when he served her the soup she had ordered. Samaria shrugged it off while the waiter accidentally pushed him towards Samaria's friend who was flirting with Leo. Samaria had so much fun at the after party she didn't want to leave the fancy restaurant. Samaria and grandpa shared kisses and greeted the guests goodbyes as they all left the restaurant. When she stepped out of the restaurant, she felt something strange but it was a different feeling altogether. She was relieved that she got out of the restaurant quickly but felt uneasy about the waiter.

"I couldn't put my finger on it, but I have a bad feeling about that waiter."

"Yeah, I think he pushed me on purpose."

  "Leo."

"Don't you think that the waiter is?"

Leo and Samaria ran back to the restaurant only to find that the waiter was gone. They both turned around at the same time with the man dressed as the waiter left and was on the same car Samaria had saw in the hospital with the plate number 997ULI. They quickly rushed to the car and chased after the man with the old, red car but the traffic had made it impossible for them to catch up with the man. They seemed to have lost him so Leo turned around to drive grandpa and Samaria home. Samaria got out of the car and found the old, red car parked at the very front of her old house she used to stay in. Leo checked inside the house and there was no sign of Kendall. Samaria searched at the back of Leo's house with Leo searching on the second floor. Leo opened Samaria's closet to find that some of her tank tops were missing. Samaria was then knocked on the back of the head and was lying on the ground unconscious.

Samaria found herself floating in the clouds with two strangers standing right in front of her. She approached the two strangers with their back turned and they have no pair of eyes, no nose, no mouth and no ears. Samaria was frightened at the two and ran away from them but they chased her. She saw that the two strangers didn't have any feet. "No! Get away from me!" she shouted.

Samaria yawned and woke up in a place she had never been to before. It was very dark but when the lights were on, she was on an underground parking lot in the mall. This place looks like it was abandoned. Does anyone even go to this parking lot? Samaria gasped  by the presence of Kendall with his creepy smile staring at her. Kendall slapped her so hard she almost lost her consciousness and her face turned red. He picked her up from the ground and kissed her neck then later bit them. Samaria struggled to fight back but she knew that if she fought, he would beat her half to death so she didn't say a word. Kendall kissed her neck and went to stuff his face between her breasts. He grabbed her right breast and she groaned loudly. He gently rubbed her shoulders to make her straps slip and he reached for her chest. He has her left arm pinned to the ground being aware that she would refuse to let him touch her. His hands were at the bottom of her tank top as he pushed it upward and was groping her breasts. He forced himself to kiss her lips and was unzipping his pants while taking off his belt and pulled his pants down.

Leo was looking for her in the back door but found not a single sight of her but he found a row of footprints heading on the opposite direction.

  "Grandpa!"

  "What?"

"Grandpa, look! There's footprints heading this way."

  "Where is she?"

"I don't know. She was here somewhere but then she was gone. I bet if we follow these footprints, it would lead us to her."

Leo's neighbor had visited the house which leaves Leo to search for her by himself. He followed the footprints until he used his flashlight to see that he had reached the end of the footprint. He scratched his head and searched for more clues on where he had took Samaria. Leo retraced the steps and returned to his home with grandpa Leo and their neighbor.

"I followed the footsteps." he said. "But unfortunately, it didn't bring us to where Samaria is."

"We have to call the police."

  "Right." he nodded.

Leo dialed the police phone number and called them right away. The police have showed up a little late that Leo was moving back and forth from the kitchen and to the living room. He opened the door with two police officers on their uniforms with a shotgun and a black tonfa. Leo have them follow him to the back door and pointed them at the footprints. The police officers followed the footprints but then reached the end of it but were convinced that it could lead them to her. Leo placed his foot at the end of the footprint. "I don't know if I'm right but I guess that he went this way." he pointed.

Kendall carried her to his car. Inside, there was a bottle of vodka under the back seat but Samaria's vision was blurry and she couldn't see what was in front of her. Kendall took off her tank top, her skirt and her bra, leaving her in her underwear while he was completely naked kissing her all over her body. "I'll never let you go Samaria. I'll promise you that."

He pulled down her underwear when he heard footsteps outside. Samaria's eyes opened and found herself almost naked in his car. He crawled closer to her, having her cornered and scared. Samaria scratched his face, leaving him with a scar on his eyebrow while it bleeds. He knocked her hard with his fist while unbeknownst to him, she was still conscious. He quickly put on his pants and his buttoned his wrinkled white polo shirt and was hiding under his car. He took a closer look and it was the police with Leo causing him growl like an angry wolf. Leo found the same red car with cracks on the door, busted headlights, dirty window glasses with a dirty plate number that said 97UL with the nine and the letter I covered in mud. Leo wiped the edges of the plate number with his sleeves filled with mud. With the plate number completely cleaned, it now read as 997ULI. "He must be around here somewhere. I know she's here too." he whispered

Leo opened the unlocked car door to find Samaria's tank top, her long skirt and her bra but with no sight of her. The police officers opened the trunk with Samaria pretending to be unconscious only in her panties. He closed the car door with while the police officers have found Samaria open her eyelids. Leo peaked at the trunk and went back to the car to grab her clothes. Samaria have woken up and put on her clothes alone with the three men looking away from her. She heard Leo chuckle and she threw a hard punch on his arm. "Ouch, that hurt."

  "Where is he?"

"I know he's around here somewhere." They found Kendall in a white polo shirt just in front of them and they started to chase after him. He exited from the parking lot and he kept running and jumped on the bus quickly. The bus stopped and they hopped on searching for him, until she sensed the man staring at her was Kendall. She and Leo chased after him but got off the moving bus.

"Stop!" she yelled. The agrevated bus driver with his gut sticking out while glaring at them have stopped and Samaria got off first. She found Kendall hiding on the market while he ran away and now, she couldn't see him but Samaria still sensed his presence. Samaria pointed to Leo and the police as to where Kendall could possibly be hiding to. Samaria was panting like a dog and looked like she was exhausted from all of the running. "Samaria, wait here. We'll look for that bastard!"

"I--I can sense him running on that direction." she pointed. "He's hiding somewhere on the market. He would go to where you would least expect him to."

"Just go rest here and buy yourself a bottle of water, I'll take care of him."

Leo nodded with the policemen calling for back-up with Leo following the path Samaria have pointed to him. He glanced left and right until Kendall came up behind him and Leo dodged Kendall's attack. Leo threw a punch but Kendall punched him straight into the stomach. He ran away from Leo and was nowhere to be seen while he remembered her words "where you would least expect him to." Leo ran to the corner of the market where no one would go to but was knocked on the head by a plywood. Leo got up with Kendall running towards an alley. He followed Kendall until he was cornered with no other way to escape. "Give it Kendall."

Samaria finished drinking her water and threw it off the garbage while she was worried sick about Leo. Where could he be? I'm worried that Kendall might've beaten him half to death. If I'm right, he went this way. she thought. Samaria had always believed in her senses and followed the path that Leo was just on.

  "Officer!"

  "Yes, ma'am?"

"The guy went this way. Follow me."

  "Alright! Let's go!" he shouted.

Samaria, along with the police officers, have found Leo with a black eye, a bloody shirt and a wound on his elbows on the ground while Kendall beat him with a wooden baseball bat. Kendall stopped and froze when he saw her witnessing him attacking her friend. "Leo." she cried.

"It's time for you to go, punk."

"You'll never catch me." he laughed.

Little did he realize that he was surrounded by men in uniform with badges and one of the police officers even have a taser. The police officers in hiding showed up while he went to the store nobody shops to. The police officers followed Kendall while Samaria stayed by Leo's side and called the ambulance. The police officers couldn't find him so they left the store. Kendall went at the back side of the store to the warehouse but was caught by one of the police officers.

"Put your hands up!" he shouted. Kendall put his hands up without fighting and the cops put handcuffs behind him. He was dragged by the police officer and he was about to kick them but the cop hit him on the groin.
Chapter Eight- Busted

"I hope he finally get caught." she and Leo smiled when they saw the handcuffed Kendall being dragged by the police officer that caught him. Kendall kicked the police officer on the right leg and was able to run away from him but was later surrounded police cars. He then tried to run to the other way but with no luck, the police officers have him outnumbered. Kendall have no choice but to surrender. He knelt in front of everybody, humiliated, with Leo and Samaria witnessing it on person. He was dragged on the police car glaring at the two of them smiling. He couldn't bear the sight of Leo and Samaria together that he threw a temper tantrum like a five year old boy not getting what he wants by kicking the chair. They have drove him to the police station nearby while Leo was taken to the hospital.

Grandpa Juan have arrived on the hospital to find his grandson with a black eye, bloody shirt and his boyd was covered with wounds all over his skin. The doctor have given him the prescription and they left the room to get to the pharmacy. Samaria drove them home. It was raining when they have reached his house. "Thank God we made it before it rained."

"I agree. So what are we going to do about this Kendall?"

"You know, I just hope that they send him to jail."

"Are you going to press charges against him?"

"I don't know. Now that you mention it..." she paused. "Maybe I should. I just want him to stay away from me and I never wanna see that creep again for all of the things he did."

"All of these are happening way too fast." she whispered.

  "Are you alright?"

"Yeah. I guess I should get some sleep."

"Alright. I'll talk to you later." he winked. Samaria ignored it and tried to brush it aside and covered herself in blanket. She was soon in deep sleep. She saw Kendall right in front of her face and she backed away from him. Samaria found herself completely naked with no under garments and was on a nice bed with covers. She looked for her clothes but found not a single piece of her outfit, while Kendall kissed her neck and pushed her hardly to the bed. Samaria yelled but covered her mouth with his hand. He was touching her breast while she bite his hand hardly.

"Why did you do that for?"

"Why are you doing this to me? What did I ever do to you?" she yelled.

"Don't you remember?" he asked. "You broke up with me."

"That's because my grandma doesn't like you and I should've listened to her. That, and you were cheating on me with one of the girls in class."

"That's not true." he said. "She was flirting with me."

  "Yeah right!"

"I'm serious." he replied. "She's just a slut that I wasn't going to take seriously. I love you, Samaria. I regret that you were out of life."

"Yeah, like I want you in my life." she interrupted.

  "Shut up!" he yelled.

"Remember this scar on my chin? You caused it" he pointed. "Now you gave me another scar."

"I'll give you a scar you'll never forget."

  "What do you mean?"

"I'll show you." he said. Samaria screamed so loud that Leo opened the door and found her still under the blanket moving around.

  "Are you alright?"

"Get away from me." she pushed.

  "Samaria, it's me Leo."

"Wha?" she whispered. Samaria have calmed herself a little bit and was taking a deep breath. Leo gave her a glass of water and she took a sip and took a deep breath once more.

  "What happened?"

"I-I had a dream about him." she started. "H-He was in the bed with me and he was touching me and kissing me all over. It was a nightmare."

  "Don't worry, I'm here."

  "Yeah."

"Are you sure you can sleep here alone?"

"I think I could." she said.

Samaria went back to sleep until it reached the morning. Sunrise began and Samaria looked like she was well rested and have a huge smile on her face. Grandpa opened the door to find the young lady to a cheerful disposition. "You seem very happy today."

"Oh it's nothing grandpa. I'm just ready for the court. I want that guy to pay for what he did to me and grandma."

"I hope you won't let your anger get in the way of your judgment young lady."

"I won't but that asshole needs to suffer in prison."

Grandpa sighed and looked like he was worried about what was yet to come at the trial. His heart was beating as fast as a drummer beating the drums quickly. He slowly placed his flaccid arm on her shoulder and looked her straight in the eye with Samaria looking like she just saw a ghost. When Leo was finished cooking breakfast, Samaria took out a seat with a smile on her face and looked like a child who was very excited to go to the amusement park. "You seem happy today." he chuckled.

"I just can't wait until the trial."

"After the trial, I want to cook for you guys." she added.

"You don't have to." he smiled

"No, I want to cook what grandma used to cook for me."

After the chat they had and once the breakfast was over, Leo left the dishes on the sink and opened the faucet for a while and closed it again. Leo went to his room and grabbed his clothes that he would wear for the trial. Samaria finished taking the shower while Leo was changing his clothes at his room, leaving the two in an awkward position. Samaria accidentally dropped her towel wrapped around her body and he walked out of the room and closed the door and she closed the blinds.

Samaria drove them there all the while, there was traffic and Leo checked his watch anxiously. Samaria had that confident look on her face, grinning at him as she stepped on the pedal harder and it reached 70 mph. Samaria had cut in front of the taxi cab and was changing lanes constantly. They reached their destination only to find people to have been staring at them like they were some celebrity of sorts. She looked at the clock on the wall to find that they had been forty-five minutes late for the trial. Kendall smirked at her with handcuffs on his wrists and was with his lawyer.

Chapter Nine- Settling Down in the Trial

Awkwardness was ensued at the whole room, with Samaria sitting on the plaintiff seat while Kendall was right across her sitting at the defendant's chair with handcuffs, with the police officer in blue uniform standing next to him. There was not a single noise at the court with the judge slamming his gavel on the table loudly while people in the court room were silence. The jury have been silenced with their folders on the hands. Leo and grandpa witnessed her in her battle to fight what is right.

"Miss Samaria, please go to the stand." he called. Kendall's lawyer stood in front of her taking off his jacket leaving him wearing a blue polo shirt

"Is it true that this man have killed your grandmother and raped you?"

  "Yes! Yes he did."

  "No that's not true."

"Silence." the judge yelled. "Go on Samaria."

"He was the guy who kidnapped my grandmother at the hospital. She was sick at that time and then all of a sudden, a guy that looked like my friend Leo who's sitting right here with us." she pointed him. "The doctor said that she went home early but then she was taken to an abandoned record store where he used to rape me." she cried.

"And then, that's when he shot her."

"She's lying, I would never do something like that." he yelled.

  "Silence Kendall."

"But how were you so sure that it was Kendall on the hospital?"

"As I said, he looked like Leo but the doctor said that he had a scar on his chin so that's when it hit me." she continued.

Samaria's lawyer have been seen with the gun that was used to shoot Serena, the same .22 LR Caliber pistol. Kendall's lawyer have sat down while her lawyer stood up with a pile of evidence on his hands.

"Exhibit A: the .22 LR Caliber pistol. Does this gun look familiar to you?" Kendall couldn't say a word and looked like he was guilty of the crime. His forehead was sweating, with his heart beating way too fast and stammered in front of the jury. The lawyer smirked at the guilty Kendall while Samaria was confident enough that she would win this case.

"But there was no evidence that she was shot." Kendall's lawyer said.

"Quiet!" he yelled. "Let him finish first then I will have the defendant speak in front."

"Alright! forensics show that Kendall's fingerprints were on the gun. Isn't that enough evidence?" he asked.

  "I suppose you're right."

"But I didn't use that gun." he screamed.

Leo wanted to defend her and go over there but was restrained by his grandfather and he was fighting with his emotions and tried to have them under control. He calmed himself down a bit but couldn't figure out why he resented Kendall so much and why he's always concerned about her well-being. He watched at the back seeing Samaria holding her head up high and he smiled, which reassured him. In the trial, the Samaria got off while the police officer dragged him to the front, sitting beside the judge. Samaria's lawyer stood up and was holding the documents he had obtained from the hospital.

"Kendall." he began. "What I have here is the emergency department files I have obtained from the hospital. And it says here on the patient's chart in the surgical reports section that there was a bullet found on her spinal cord. How can you explain that young man?"

"You know. It could be fake."

"The medical records don't lie, young man."

"They don't have the autopsy report."

"But this was from the hospital. And we obtained this with permission. My client here have the right to see her grandma's chart because the content of the chart rightfully belonged to the patient. Since she was the patient's relative, she has the right to see the charts. With her grandmother's permission."

"Yes, she would let me look at them." she said.

"Look! That was an invasion of privacy." his lawyer yelled.

  "Hmm... he's got a point."

"But the evidence is right here." pointing to Serena's chart.

"But you need to obtain the hospital's permission. Until then, your evidence is nothing."

"This case is over!" the judge shouted. "Come back tomorrow."

People on the court room have left their seat and was talking amongst themselves about the case but then were silenced shortly afterwards. Leo and grandpa waited for her and the lawyer while Kendall was struggling to get away from the police and was running closer to Samaria and Leo but was hit on the back with the tonfa. They have left the court and the lawyer have been pulled them to go to his nice, expensive looking black car. He closed the car door and showed them his suitcase and a folder filled with documents.

  "His lawyer is pretty good."

"You're not bad yourself Mister." she said.

"But we need to get the autopsy from your grandma's corpse." he said. "We needed that autopsy to win this case."

"He's right Samaria." he said. "We need to exhume her corpse, would you agree with that?" he said.

"I will." she hesitated. "If getting the autopsy would be the only way we could win the case, then I say we this."

"But how are we going to get the autopsy tomorrow?" she asked.

"We'll take care of that, don't worry." he said.

The lawyer have driven them to the funeral and Leo drove his car and followed the lawyer. Samaria witnessed her grandmother's corpse being exhumed for the forensic investigators to perform an autopsy on her. She watched as the men have lifted the casket and placed it on the truck. She followed the truck but was held back by Leo and the lawyer blocked her. The truck have left and they went inside the lawyer's shiny car. The lawyer drove them home while Leo drove his car. The lawyer have dropped them off of their house and gave Samaria his phone number card. "Here's my number. Call me when you need me."

"Thank you." she nodded. They stepped out of the car with the lawyer driving off. Leo parked his car next to the small house Samaria used to live in. She was sitting next to the phone all night, hesitating to pick up the phone and call the lawyer. Leo brought her a tray with a glass of milk, water, a plate with rice and chicken and a cup of sauce but Samaria was looking out the window and ignored him.

  "You need to eat now."

"But I'm worried about the autopsy. I need to call the lawyer."

"But you need to eat first."

"Alright." she said. Leo put the food tray on his study table and she pulled out the chair but the phone ringed and she hurried to pick it up.

  "Hello?"

"Hi. I just called to tell you about the autopsy."

"How was it?" she jumped. "Is it ready?"

  "I'm not afraid not."

"But why did you call?" she interrupted.

"Calm down, young lady. They are still doing the process and they would have the autopsy ready in two days."

"Two days? Can't they do it quicker?"

"I suppose I could tell them."

"Please sir. I really need to win this for my grandmother."

"I'll do the best I can, Samaria."

"Thank you." she cheered as the man have hunged up the phone. Samaria put down the phone and ate her dinner with an ease in her heart. She was confident but at the same time, she was worried about how long it would take for the results to come out. She finished her dinner and washed the dishes by herself. Once she was finished, Samaria couldn't sleep from at all, she felt like she was a restless dancer so she walked around the living room and cleaned the sofa, the television screen and the vases. She also cleaned up the closet under the stairs and was surprised by what she saw inside of it. She had found ancient stuff such as vinyl records, grandpa's old clothes, a collection of cassette tapes, an old radio and a box full of comic book collection. She snooped around a little and was enthusiastic. She found grandpa's old pocket books and a picture book and she also found old picture frames with grandpa and his friends. She looked under the box and found grandpa's old high school class photo. She found grandpa Juan wearing a uniform looking almost like Leo but with a shorter hair. So now I know where Leo got his looks from. They have the same eye color, shape of the face and they even have the height.

She heard footsteps above her so she got out of the closet and closed the door. It was revealed to have been Leo wearing his blue striped pajamas rubbing his eyes. Samaria looked nervously around him while he raised his eyebrows at her. They both looked at the alarm clock with the short hand pointing at the number four. "You're still awake?"

"I couldn't sleep!" she laughed. "But look, I cleaned the kitchen, did the dishes and cleaned the whole living room."

"But you need to sleep. We have a trial tomorrow." he yawned.

"I'll sleep in the living room." she said.

"Alright." he sighed. "I'll go get your pillows and blanket."

She helped Leo with the blanket and turned on the television. Leo went back upstairs looking like a walking zombie while she watched the television and pretended to go to sleep. Samaria turned down the volume and covered her face with a pillow and a blanket but still couldn't go to sleep. She continued watching the television and switched the channel to the news. The anchor lady has jet black hair with a folder in her hands. She was wearing a navy blue blazer with red lipstick and blue eyeshadow. The headlines said "A group of bandits were going from neighborhood to another to search for the chosen one." A small screen popped up with the people in white holding candles and were starting a riot. Samaria squinted her eyes and saw that the leader of the group looked exactly like the woman who kidnapped her mother. The woman have the same gray hair and wrinkled skin but only this time, she has a scar on her face. Samaria quickly turned off the television. She was breathing hardly and was looking out the window. She locked the door and locked the windows and closed the curtains. She was frantically walking around and heard the clock's hand. It was almost six o'clock in the morning as she yawned loudly. She prepared the breakfast as she had promised by cooking the rice and chopping the vegetables and meat. She had planned to cook what her grandmother always cooked for her when she was litttle: a Filipino dish called Menudo. The rice was almost cooked while she waits for the menudo to finish. As the dish was ready, Samaria placed a cloth on the top of the table and placed three placemats on the table. She placed three plates, three glasses and the utensils. She placed the rice in the middle of the table with hand mittens and then put the menudo next to the rice. She filled with glasses with water but filled one glass with a glass of milk for grandpa. Leo assisted grandpa with ambulating at home and found Samaria preparing the breakfast. Leo helped grandpa sit on the table and helped him with his food but insisted he could eat by himself.

After they finished eating, Leo found Samaria sleeping on the couch in a prone position snoring a little loud. Leo chuckled a little bit and moved her hair a little bit with his hand that was covering her face. "She must be really tired."

"She didn't get enough sleep last night." he said. "But Samaria, you need to get dressed for the trial today."

Leo got up from his room looking presentable for the trial today along with grandpa Juan also looking    quiet dashing with his favorite shirt on. Samaria was still in the same position she was a few hours ago and didn't want to get up.

"We need to go to the trial." he said. "Why did you stay up late?"

"I saw these weirdos on the television."

"Look at you, you still didn't get dressed. You can't look like that at the trial."

"You bet I could. I'm too lazy to change." she whined.

"Alright. Just go change your top." he sighed.

Samaria quickly went to Leo's room with her clothes on the same closet where Leo's clothes were and wore her favorite white shirt. She quickly changed her skirt and wore pants instead. She looked down under the stairs and ran down faster. She almost fell but managed to get up with all of the strength and wiped her eyes. She reached the car and sat on the back instead and immediately went to sleep she forgot to put her seatbelt on. They had reached the court house and was still asleep that Leo had to poke her but she didn't respond. "Wake up. We're here."

  "Huh?" she responded.

The lawyer parked next to Leo's car and there was a silhoutte inside the car, and his car looked like it was picked up from the junk shop compared to the lawyer's car that looked like it was brand new. The lawyer is holding a sealed folder, so sealed that it looked like it was wrapped and locked at the same time. Leo dragged her out of the car and the lawyer handed the sealed document to them. There was a man that looked like a scientist with glasses, a moustache and was wearing a mint green polo with a striped necktie. Samaria walked into the court room looking and acting like she was a zombie. Kendall, with scars on his eyebrow and his chin, have his hair shaved with an orange jumpsuit smirked at her. He was still handcuffed but wasn't as combative as he was yesterday and was calm and collected but the police officer was still standing next to him. Samaria's hair was messed up and she didn't even care about the whispers of those at the court room. She tied her hair in a ponytail and she and her lawyer have sat down. The trial have began with Kendall being dragged by the police officer but didn't fight back and she was amazed by the behavior he's been showing everybody. Kendall winked at her with Samaria being repulsed and disgusted by him, while Leo glared from afar.

The doctor was sitting at the very front behind the deputy with his legs crossed and the lawyer have handed him the sealed document. Kendall's handcuffs were loosen up and the cop with his wool uniform took of the right cuff but didn't unlocked the left one. "You swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?" the judge said.

"I do." he said raising his right hand.

Kendall sat down at the stand with the jury duty sitting next to him with their legs crossed. He turned the microphone mouthpiece close to him using his right hand with his wrist that has red lines on them
"Can you please introduce yourself." the judge started.

  "My Kendall Presley. P R E S L E Y."

"Samaria and I moved in here together along with her grandmother. We were starting a new life together but then, I had to get rid of what is getting in my way of our relationship."

"Now, wait a minute. You two were in a relationship?"

  "Yes." he nodded.

  "When did the relationship began?"

  "When we were still young?"

  "Are you two still dating?"

"Yes, yes we are." he said. "I always followed her to the edge of the Earth and I was always there for her when she needed me. Samaria have betrayed me by flirting with another guy who's in here right now. Then, she cheated on me with him and she always go over to his house."

  "Now wait a minute!"

"Young lady, he needs to finish."

  "Sorry."

  "Now you may continue."

"Yes." he paused. "As I was saying, when her grandmother died, I was there for her. I'll always be there for her. I even gave her plenty of tissue boxes as a gift. If anything, she should be thankful for that."

"Now, I'm confused here young man. How could you have been with her at those times and how did you know where her grandmother is?"

Kendall didn't say a word and now, Samaria was sitting at across him with her jaw dropped. Leo and grandpa both were at shock about the young man's revelations. Samaria have now put the pieces of the missing puzzle together. She had came to a realization about the money in the tissue boxes and about her grandmother being kidnapped.

"I was always there for her. I would always be looking out for both of them."

"Now that it's over, would you like to tell anyone anything else?"

  "No."

"Alright, let's take a ten minute break. After the break, Samaria would be called to the stand."

Samaria walked out of the court room with Leo following her while she completely ignored him. Samaria went straight ahead to the bathroom and closed the stall's door. She was crying inside the stall and was throwing paper towels around. Leo couldn't enter the ladies' room so he waited for her outside with grandpa sitting on the bench outside the room.

  "Samaria!" he shouted.

"Leave me alone." she cried. Samaria wiped her tears with a tissue paper and soon looked at herself in the mirror. She couldn't stand the sight of a woman staring back at her. I'm a big mess and I don't know how much more I can handle. That guy drives me nuts. she thought. He was waiting for her outside while the officers and the jury people were going back inside the court room.

 "Samaria, let's hurry up."

"Alright." she said. Samaria quickly washed and dried her hands while she fixed her hair. She entered the room and was ready to face others in the room.

"Now, may I call miss Samaria on the stand please." Samaria got out of her seat and was sitting next to grandpa with Leo sitting next to grandpa. She took a deep breath before sitting on next to the judge. She had raised her right hand.

"You swear to tell the truth, the whole and nothing but the truth?"

"I do." she responded. She sat down and turned the microphone closer to her.

"Most of what Kendall have said were lies. The truth is, we did go out but that was when we were young. I broke up with him and he didn't take that too well. He still believes that we're in a relationship and I don't know why."

"Let me ask you a question: did you two move here together along with your grandma?"

"No. I don't even know how he got here. I don't know how he found out I was here. I guess he must have been stalking me. I knew I sensed something that wasn't right when I moved here." she said. "I was trying to get away from this band of people that were after me. Of course that was a long story. And I was also trying to get away from Kendall. I just didn't know how he found me." she added.

"I have one last question for you: What was he talking about this box of tissues he had sent you?"

"I didn't know who it came from actually. All of a sudden, after I came back, the small house I was in at that time was a mess. I found the tissue boxes under a blanket. The tissue boxes contained money and I didn't know whether to spend it or not. I didn't want to be accused of robbing or anything."

"So you're saying this young man have been accusing you of being a thief and was stalking you?"

  "Yes." she answered.

"No, I didn't. I gave her those tissues for when she cries."

"Young man, let her talk!" the judge smashed the table with the gavel and Kendall have calmed down somewhat. "Young lady, you may continue."

"I didn't know how the guy got inside the house but then, I opened the bathroom door and found that the intruder entered the bathroom and messed up the entire house."

"Is there anything else you would like to speak about?"

"Yes. I wish justice for the death of my grandmother. She was the only person I had." she commented. Samaria stood up from the stand and sat next to grandpa Juan. She was crossing her fingers and was shaking her foot. Leo crossed his arms while he tried to look away from her but couldn't look away and he laughed a litte.

"We'll take a little break for a while. The last one to the stand would be Doctor Heisman."

People stood from their seats to take a break from the hearing. Samaria walked out of the room by herself without Leo following her. They stayed on their seats with Leo eating a small pack of candy that was on the bowl. She was drinking a bottle of water

After the victorious win at the case, justice have been served and prayers from God have been answered. Samaria have been checking the court house and was anxiously sensing that the people that were looking for her was in fact, in the province she's residing in. A lady in the court room wearing a white blouse with a matching white pencil skirt frightened her and her heart was beating faster than usual.

"Stay away from me." she yelled.

  "Is she alright?"

"I'm sorry miss." he sighed. "What is wrong with you? You've been acting strange lately."

"Remember when I told you about what I saw on the news?"

  "What about it?"

"The very same people that were looking for me was around here." she said. "I-I can't take it anymore. I don't know what those people want from me and I'm just tired altogether. They have given me stress all my life and I've had it."

  "Calm down!"

"I--I guess it's time for me to face them alone."

  "I'll go with you."

"No! You must not. They want me, so I must face this alone." she said. "But thank you for the concern Leo. You're a really good friend."

"I promise we'll protect you." grandpa said.

"Thank you for the support but I need to do this. I'm ready to face them." she sighed. She had realized that she needed to go face her own fears. Samaria had dropped Leo and grandpa off of their house but fled without saying a word. Leo had ran and tried to chase but she was driving too fast and he couldn't catch up to her any longer because he was panting like a dog and his legs were aching badly. I wonder where she went. I just hope she was safe. Wherever you are, please make sure that you're safe. he thought.

Chapter Ten- True Intentions

Samaria parked the car next to a computer cafe shop and pulled the parking brake. She got off the car and entered the cafe shop with cash on her hands. She cut in the line while ignoring the people behind her and gave the cash to the employee. She took the last, available spot at the very last corner of the computer shop. She sat down and typed the words "white people riot" on the search bar. She clicked one of the links and it brought her to a news article. Samaria read the news article carefully and highlighted the words "looking for the last one." She clicked on the colored picture of the article and the picture was larger. She zoomed in the photograph of the people in white, the same people she saw on the news recently, with the same lady holding a picture of a young baby. Samaria was feeling something strange as she stared at the baby picture. That picture looked awfully familiar. she thought.

  "Miss, are you finished?"

  "What?" she asked.

"We need to use the computer."

"Can't you see that I'm busy? Go find other computers. I still need to use this."

"But the computer shop is full."

"That's not my problem dude. Go find other computer shops." she said. "Right now, I'm not in the mood to fight. I'm kinda busy right now so go away."

The black haired boy in a purple shirt and a blue and white hat have walked out of the room and he slammed the door. Samaria continued for her search with her eyes sticked on the computer screen like a paper sticking on glue. Samaria have highlighted the last paragraph with the name of the group of people that were going after her.
